Greenville officials report multiple wrecks due to icy roads

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – More than half of the cars Greenville Police Chief J.H. Thompson passed on Sunday morning were involved in a wreck caused by icy conditions.

According to a social media post from the City of Greenville, police and fire departments are urging residents to exercise caution and stay off of roads if possible.

The city said Thompson was on a conference call with city leadership Sunday morning and reported passing eight cards on city streets. Three of those cars were in a ditch, two more had been in a wreck…
