Man accused of trafficking, kidnapping after drug bust in Greenville, police say

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Greenville Police Department reports a man is facing drug trafficking, firearm and kidnapping charges after an investigation.

Officers said a call for service was made regarding a domestic violence situation. The investigation on Jenkins Street led to a drug bust.

Police report seizing:

  • Two pounds of cocaine
  • 2.5 pounds of marijuana
  • 99 grams of crack cocaine
  • Four firearms, including two stolen firearms
  • Body armor
  • More than $2,000 in U.S. currency

Melvin Boswell is facing the following charges:

  • Trafficking cocaine
  • Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
  • Felon in possession of firearms and body armor
  • Possession of stolen firearms
  • Domestic violence 2nd degree
  • Kidnapping
