Greenville, South Carolina – A Winter Storm Warning is in effect across the entire Greenville–Spartanburg forecast area as a significant winter storm is expected to bring widespread accumulating snow, creating hazardous travel conditions across the southern Appalachians, Upstate South Carolina, and western North Carolina.
According to the National Weather Service Greenville–Spartanburg, the warning is valid from 4 p.m. Friday through 7 a.m. Sunday. Snow is expected to begin over the mountains Friday afternoon, then spread east across the Piedmont Friday evening and overnight.
