Over the weekend, what started as a two vehicle crash on I-85 In Kannapolis NC turned into a multiple car pile-up. The Saturday crash left hundreds of drivers stranded for hours on I-85 northbound in Cabarrus County.
Gastonia Police also reported a train collided with a semi-truck at Poplar Street shutting down travel in the area.
A portion of the Interstate was shut down in Spartanburg County Saturday morning after a crash that involved a tractor trailer. 85 southbound lanes were closed near mm 81 when a semi-truck got stuck across multiple lanes.
