Upstate school districts, colleges share plans based on ‘snow and ice’

Upstate schools have begun planning for the week. Record snowfall and extremely cold temperatures have forced schools to make e-Learning plans for the early part of the week.

Greenville schools to have e-Learning days Monday, Tuesday

Greenville County Schools is on eLearning Monday, Feb. 2, and Tuesday, Feb. 3.

Schools and office buildings will be closed, and all activities, including athletic events and field trips, are cancelled.

“This decision was made based on current snow and ice, forecasted freezing temperatures, which may result in continued unsafe road conditions, and the significant amount of work needed to clear campus entries and driveways once it’s safe for crews to do so,” GCS said in a statement…
