The snow is gone, but the risk to your pipes isn’t

GREER, S. C. (FOX Carolina) — After snow and freezing temperatures, plumbers say the risk to pipes isn’t over.

Lee Jackson with GS Plumbing in Greenville said pipes are most likely to burst in the days following a freeze, when ice inside begins to thaw and pressure builds.

“The best way to prevent this is to run your water, hot and cold cause they freeze very easy. The second thing is to open your doors on your cabinets. That way the heat can get in there to them,” Jackson said…
