ANDERSON, S.C. — A South Carolina woman is now facing state charges after allegedly claiming she was missing more than $3,000 in Louis Vuitton merchandise from a vehicle involved in a crash.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division said that, in March 2025, 21-year-old Timya Rai Davis submitted a false claim for insurance to State Farm, alleging that items in a towed vehicle were missing after it was returned to her. The warrants state that Davis presented an altered receipt from Louis Vuitton to State Farm, claiming the missing items were valued at $3,349.56.
However, warrants add that Davis later admitted to forging the Louis Vuitton receipt. On Wednesday, Davis was charged with presenting a false claim for insurance payment valued at more than $2,000 but less than $10,000, and forgery valued at less than $10,000…
