ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Anderson County Coroner’s Office is investigating after a man died weeks after being found in a home that had caught fire.
Anderson County 911 received a call on Jan. 26 for an unresponsive man on Woodland Circle in Pendleton. Upon arrival, responders found one victim inside a home with what was believed to be diabetic problems.
Officials said that further investigation showed there had been a fire in another area of the home where the victim was staying. It was determined that the victim had inhaled smoke and needed to be flown to Doctors Hospital in Augusta, where he died on Tuesday.
The coroner identified the victim as 59-year-old Kenneth Ray Kelly of Pendleton, and ruled his cause of death as inhalation burns and smoke inhalation, and the manner accidental…
