Upstate couple accused of quadruple murder to be tried separately

An Upstate married couple charged with killing four people will be tried separately. Ross and Amy Vilardi are accused of murdering four of their family members in Anderson County, on Halloween of 2015.

The incident left Amy’s mother Cathy, Step father Mike, Grandmother Violet Taylor and Barbara Scott all dead. The couple wasn’t charged until 8 years after the incident.

Investigators believe money might have been the motive for the murders, after thousands of dollars in cash was found inside the couple’s home. Both suspects requested separate trials, which the judge granted…
