GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Leaders across Greenville County are facing growing pushback from residents who say development is moving too fast.
However, others argue that as the county continues to grow, so does the need for more housing.
Pebble Creek
On Monday, Greenville County Council heard from dozens of residents in the Pebble Creek community who opposed a proposal to build 24 townhomes on property that once housed tennis courts.
“We’re tired of trying to fill in every inch of land with some development, with townhomes or homes,” said Rob Rowen with the Pebble Creek HOA. “At some point, we have to stop and say, ‘What’s this about?’”…
