Bon Secours St. Francis opens second freestanding emergency center

“We’re trying to meet patients where they are and deliver quality care in the fastest way possible.”

That’s the goal of Bon Secours St. Francis’s new 24/7 freestanding emergency department, says Dr. Dawn Zellner, the assistant director of the health system’s emergency services.

Set to open in March at 2814 Woodruff Road in Five Forks, the 13,000-square-foot facility has nine exam rooms, including one specifically for trauma care, along with CT and X-ray imaging and lab services. Its state-of-the-art technology and board-certified emergency medical staff can diagnose and treat the same types of emergencies and illnesses seen in Bon Secours St. Francis’s hospital-based ERs…
