1 new measles case reported in Upstate Outbreak; 991 total

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WSPA) – The South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH) reported one new measles case since Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases related to the Upstate outbreak to 991.

52 people are currently under quarantine, and three remain in isolation. The current end date for those in quarantine is March 27.

The DPH said that in February 2026, there was a strong increase in measles vaccinations across the state and in Spartanburg, where the outbreak is centered.
