New software protects Upstate property owners from fraud

ANDERSON, S.C. (WSPA) – Anderson County is launching a new alert system to give homeowners real-time notifications if someone files paperwork tied to their property.

The new system is called R.E.A.A.C.T. or Real Estate Activity Alert and Contact Tool.

“You’ll be notified within 24 hours of something going on and make you aware, and then you can decide, okay, was that something I actually did? Or is somebody actually trying to do something?” said Anderson County Assessor Bob McLean…
