Storm damage reported across Upstate, WNC

GAFFNEY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Upstate officials have reported damage following a severe storm that swept across the region Monday morning.

The Cherokee County Emergency Management reported damage to the fire training center on Beltline Road in Gaffney.

The Storm Prediction Center noted the following damage in other parts of the Upstate:

Upstate

  • Power outages and utility line damage were reported along Melvin Hill Road in Spartanburg County
  • A building on Beltline Road in Cherokee County was damaged
  • Power outages and utility line damage were reported off Highway 215 in Union County

Western North Carolina

  • A tree was reported down on US-221 in Rutherford County
  • Power outages and utility line damage were reported along Hines Road in Rutherford County
