GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Indivisible Upstate said it will launch a “No Kings” billboard at a busy intersection in Greenville.
The digital billboard is set to go live March 21 near the intersection of Woodruff Road and Verdae Boulevard. The group said it purchased the ad to encourage “like-minded” people to attend a “No Kings” rally on March 28.
“We will come together to demonstrate our commitment to protecting one another and defending democratic values,” Indivisible Upstate SC Co-Director Cindy Davis said. “We actively look for ways to volunteer that serve our neighbors, not tear them apart. We believe that building trust and strengthening community are key to creating sustainable change that benefits everyone.”
Organizers said this year’s rally will take place across three locations downtown:
- One City Plaza from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Greenville City Hall from 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Outside Falls Park on the Reedy from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
“We will not remain silent in the face of threats to democratic freedoms.” Erin Halperin, Indivisible Upstate SC Co-Director said. “The current administration is attempting to consolidate power by influencing the news media, expanding surveillance of social media, and distorting the truth.”…
