EASLEY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – An Upstate man claims he wouldn’t have won $500,000 if he had not returned into a restaurant to get a straw.
The South Carolina Education Lottery reports a man was leaving Dodge’s Store on South Pendleton Street in Easley with fried chicken and a drink when he realized he did not have a straw.
He went back in to get one and decided to buy a lottery ticket. He then discovered he won a half-a-million dollars when he scratched the ticket in the parking lot, lottery officials said…
