Upstate man accused of stealing, selling fire department radios, sheriff’s office says

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) — The man who listed radios belonging to Anderson County fire departments has been charged.

According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Alexander David Russell, of Easley, was charged with receiving stolen goods and petit larceny after he listed Motorola radios belonging to Anderson County fire departments on Facebook.

The arrest warrants show that Russell was arrested on March 26. After he was Mirandaized, he admitted to taking the radios during an interview with an investigator.
