Man charged after shooting another man at ex-wife’s home in Upstate: Deputies

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Deputies with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said a man is facing charges after shooting at a man in Iva.

Deputies reported David Lee Cook was charged with the following:

  • Domestic violence
  • Burglary
  • Assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature

The sheriff’s office said deputies and detectives responded to a home on Highway 413 Sunday morning after Cook broke into his ex-wife’s home and pointed a handgun at her and another man inside.

Deputies said Cook shot the man and the bullet grazed the victim’s leg, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries.

According to deputies, a statewide BOLO was issued for Cook after he ran from the residence. Deputies Cook fled through multiple counties before returning to Anderson County, where the sheriff’s office found him…
