Coroner: Remains found near Anderson Co. creek went undiscovered for years

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — Investigators shared more details about skeletal remains that were found near a creek in Anderson County Sunday.

Anderson County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the Anderson County Coroner’s Office responded to Lawrence Road after a woman called emergency services and said her children found a human skull while playing near a creek.

Since then, teams have recovered between 40 and 50 bones from the victim, including vertebrae, ribs and other upper-body remains.
