ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — A cat found near the intersection of Breazeale Street and Blair Mill Road in Belton has tested positive for rabies. The South Carolina Department of Public Health confirmed that two people were exposed to the animal, along with 16 cats and nine dogs.
The cat was submitted to a state laboratory for testing on March 31, and the rabies diagnosis was confirmed on April 1, 2026.
