Stunning spring changes Clemson’s QB dynamic

CLEMSON – Spring practice changed the dynamic of Clemson’s quarterback race.

A scant 31 days passed between the first practice of the spring and the annual in spring game in Death Valley. In that time, everything we thought we knew, or wondered if we knew, was turned upside down.

Heading into the spring, we knew that veteran Christopher Vizzina was going to receive the first opportunity to take first-team snaps, and that practice would be structured to ensure his success. We thought that redshirt freshman Chris Denson, who had 11 electric snaps last season, would have improved enough to push Vizzina. We knew that veteran Trent Pearman is a valuable, experienced piece to have, but would likely not be considered for a starting spot. And we were excited to see what true freshmen Brock Bradley and Tait Reynolds could bring to the table…
