Barricaded suspect prompts lockdown at Upstate elementary school

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) — A lockdown has been lifted for an elementary school following a domestic-related standoff reported on Village Crest Drive.

The Greenville Police Department responded to the scene around 9 a.m., prompting precautionary measures at Reedy Laurel Elementary School. Officers said there was no immediate threat to the school, and the lockdown was ordered out of an abundance of caution.
