Greenville, Rock Hill Among Best Small Cities in Nation to Start a Business

Several South Carolina cities rank among the best small cities in the country for launching a new business, according to a 2026 study from personal finance website WalletHub.

The study compared more than 1,300 small cities across 18 metrics grouped into three categories: business environment, access to resources, and business costs. Cities included in the study have populations between 25,000 and 100,000 residents.
