SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – For the first time, you can get an up close look at Spartanburg’s oldest artifact, the historic 1881 town bell at the Spartanburg County Library Headquarters.
City officials said it’s not just a link to the city’s past but an important part of the city’s future.“While we are in this period of rapid growth and change, that connection to where we come from is really important,” Christopher George, with the City of Spartanburg, told 7NEWS.
