ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Seniors in Anderson County are able to apply for the South Carolina Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program starting in June.
Anderson County posted to Facebook that the program offers $50 in coupons for fresh fruits and vegetables from authorized farmers, the county said.
The county said anyone interested in the program must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a low-income senior aged 60 or older at the time of application
- Must provide proof of identity when picking up benefits
- Must live in South Carolina
According to the county, seniors eligible for the program can apply at:
- Iva Farmers Market on Wednesday, June 3
- Belton Senior Center beside the Farmers Market in Belton on Thursday, June 4
- Anderson Farmers Market on Friday, June 5
