PA lawmakers to discuss eliminating school property taxes at town hall in Lancaster County

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Pennsylvania lawmakers will gather at a town hall meeting to discuss the future of school property taxes Wednesday evening at Elizabethtown High School.

Rep. Tom Jones (R-Lancaster/Lebanon) will be joined by Rep. Wendy Fink (R-Red Lion), Sen. Dawn Keefer (R-Cumberland/York), and former Rep. Frank Ryan to deliberate possible solutions to the growing school property tax burden that Pennsylvania homeowners and business owners bear.

The town hall will offer residents the chance to ask questions, share their experiences, and learn more about legislation that could provide relief. Among the relief options discussed will be Fink’s House Bill 1649 and Keefer’s Senate Bill 962, both of which would eliminate school property taxes in the state…
