York County residents could hear sirens next week; here’s why

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– Some York County residents may hear loud sirens next week.

According to Constellation Energy, the company will conduct its semi-annual, full-volume test of the emergency warning sirens surrounding the Peach Bottom Clean Energy Center on Wednesday, June 3, at 1 p.m., and on Thursday, June 4, at various times throughout the day.

The company said this is one of two tests held throughout the year.
