Steelton Police remind residents of curfew, loitering ordinances this summer

STEELTON, Pa. — With summer break quickly approaching for many kids, Steelton Police are reminding residents that the borough’s curfew and loitering ordinances remain in effect and will continue to be enforced.

Steelton’s curfew ordinance prohibits minors under 18 years old from being on public streets at certain times of the night unless for a lawful exception established by the ordinance.

Curfew hours are as follows, according to police:

  • Minors age 15 and under: 10 p.m. – 6 a.m.
  • Minors age 16 and 17: 11 p.m. – 6 a.m.

According to police, Steelton’s loitering ordinance prohibits individuals from congregating or staying in public places in any way that will create disturbances, obstruct pedestrian or vehicle traffic, cause annoyance to others or disturb the peace…
