YORK COUNTY, Pa. — One week after the City of York cleared a large homeless encampment from Bantz Park, officials in Spring Garden Township say they are already seeing the effects.
Township leaders believe some unhoused individuals displaced from the encampment have relocated into neighboring communities, including along Indian Rock Dam Road and the Heritage Rail Trail, prompting a call for a broader, countywide response to homelessness.
