On the day his murder trial was scheduled to begin, a York County man pleaded guilty to causing a stranger’s fatal brain injury when he punched him in the head during a 2023 bar fight.
Aaron Wright avoided trial Monday on third-degree murder charges in the March 15, 2023, assault of Benjamin Shearer, 47, inside The Circle bar in Hanover by pleading guilty to lesser charges of aggravated assault, a felony, and involuntary manslaughter, a misdemeanor.
