(WHTM)– A local transit company will soon introduce some changes to its fare collection system and a “modest fare increase.”
rabbittransit announced Monday that it is rolling out a major upgrade to its fare collection system with the launch of “rabbitPAY.” According to rabbittransit, the new system will be available for all Capital Region, Gettysburg, Shippensburg, and York fixed-route services, as well as rabbitEXPRESS, Capital Region Commuter Routes, and Stop Hopper services.
The company said that rabbitPAY will offer riders a smart card and mobile-based payment system, allowing commuters to board faster and pay more easily.
