Two week detour planned in Cumberland County community

NEWVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) — A main road in a Cumberland County community will be closed for two weeks beginning Monday.

PennDOT said Route 233 — High Street — will be closed and detoured between Route 533 and Green Street in Newville. The closure will last about two weeks.

This is part of an overarching paving project on Route 233 between Big Spring Creek in Newville and Mohawk Road in Lower Mifflin Township. The project began in March and includes repaving the roadway, ADA ramp updates, and more.
