DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Harrisburg School District officials are moving closer to adopting a final budget that could raise property taxes, but the proposed increase is now lower than earlier projections.
The district is still working with a $227 million budget proposal that includes a 1.5% property tax increase, down from earlier suggestions of about 3% discussed a couple of weeks ago. Dr. Marcia Stokes, the district’s chief financial officer said the district is looking beyond a single year as it builds its spending plan.
