Harrisburg’s annual July 4th food truck festival returning

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — Food and music, two things that bring people together, and there will be events for the community throughout July in Harrisburg.

First, the return of the city’s Fourth of July Food Truck Festival at Riverfront Park will showcase numerous activities and entertainment from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Around 40 food trucks, live music, a wine/beer garden, a petting zoo with mini highland cows and goats, along with a fireworks show at 9:15 p.m.

There will be five different dates for performances part of Pop’s House July Music Series at the Riverfront Park Bandshell, at 100 Concert Drive, throughout July:

  • July 4 – Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra, Scarlet Rose and Dred Scott
  • July 5 – Mayor Williams’ Rising Star Youth Showcase
  • July 12 – Gospel Night featuring Zak Williams & 1/Akord, HBA Psalm A34, The Sound of Praise, Huston Williams, Scarlet Rose, and Avery Cloud
  • July 18 – Jazz Under the Stars Festival featuring Grammy Award-nominated Pieces of a Dream, JJ Sansaverino, Art Sherrod Jr., Wes Watkin, Jon Williams, and The Singer’s Lounge
  • July 25 – AfroSoul Latino Festival featuring The Crank Crusader, Raheem DeVaughn, YahZarah, Bootsy Vegas, Hector Rosado & ORQ Hache, Dwennimen African Dance Community, and special guests

“Summer in Harrisburg is about bringing people together,” Mayor Wanda R.D. Williams said in a statement. “Whether families are enjoying great food on the Fourth of July, listening to live music at Reservoir Park, or simply spending time with neighbors and friends, these events help create the experiences that make our city special. They showcase the energy, diversity, and community spirit that define Harrisburg.”
