Bridge connecting two central Pa. counties reopens after repairs

Foxlea Bridge in Cumberland and York counties reopened on Friday after being closed for repairs for three months.

The bridge, built in 1970, carries Beacon Hill Boulevard over the Yellow Breeches Creek in Lower Allen Township, Cumberland County, and Fairview Township, York County. The bridge has an estimated average daily traffic volume of 1,700 vehicles.

Work on the bridge included repairs to the bridge deck, installation of waterproofing membranes and expansion joints, and maintenance work on the abutments, beams and piers…
