Dauphin County will open cooling centers to help the community beat the heat

Dauphin County is opening six cooling stations throughout the county ahead of the heat wave expected to arrive Tuesday.

The Dauphin County Area Agency on Aging is urging everyone, especially seniors and those without air conditioners, to find cool places to stay safe in the extreme heat.

The centers are open to the general public at no charge. Residents can also find relief in libraries, churches and area businesses…
