‘Violent predator’ from York County sentenced for attempted rape of 10-year-old

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A York County man will spend up to 80 years in prison and will be designated a sexually violent predator after previously being convicted of the attempted rape of a 10-year-old.

Jayson Miller, 54, who last lived in Red Lion, was sentenced to at least 33.5 years after a two-day trial ended in a conviction following a February 2025 arrest.

According to the Pike County District Attorney’s Office, Miller was talking to a woman about his desire to have sexual contact with the child, and he was willing to travel to Pike County and pay $200 to do it…
