YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A York County fire company is reminding residents how crucial it is to immediately call 911 if they think there is an emergency after three people were rescued from the Susquehanna River on Tuesday evening.
In a post made Wednesday on Facebook, Eagle Fire Company #1 wrote that crews got reports of one person stuck in the water while two others were stranded on an island.
Rescuers were able to pull a male patient out of the water and he was taken to shore. Then, rescuers were able to make their way to two females on the island and take them to shore as well, according to the post.
