DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A central Pennsylvania man will spend the next 20 years of his life in prison for possessing guns and ammunition while he is a convicted felon.
The Department of Justice said, Reginald Hopkins, 49, of Harrisburg, will also spend five years on supervised release once he is out of prison. He was convicted after a trial by jury.
Law enforcement found three handguns: an Astra Constable 9mm, a Hi-Point CF380 .380 and a S&W M&P 9 Shield 9mm after searching Hopkins’ apartment in February 2021, according to the DOJ. The guns were sitting in plain sight next to his bed and near a chair in the living area.
