The severe storm on the Fourth of July left many Camp Hill Borough residents frustrated. Some have been without electricity for days. Others faced fallen trees, damaged property, and the daunting task of cleaning up debris. Those frustrations are understandable, and everyone affected deserves empathy.
While recent coverage has focused on frustration with Camp Hill Borough’s storm debris response, I hope our community will also recognize—and thank—the people who worked tirelessly to restore safety and begin the recovery process.
While many residents were waiting for power to be restored or beginning cleanup at home, Camp Hill Borough Public Works employees, first responders, utility crews, and emergency personnel were working diligently to restore public safety. They cleared blocked roads, responded to emergencies, repaired critical infrastructure, and worked to return our community to normal as quickly as possible…
