LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – Many college students worry about landing that first job after graduation. Now, some Midstate students have the chance to predict their future and get help paying for their education.
Lebanon Valley College joined Scholars Network last September. Since then, eight Doctor of Physical Therapy students have benefitted from the program. They each received $65,000 toward their loans over three years, totaling to more than $500,000 for the college as a whole.
“Debt and student loans are one of the biggest stressors that any student experiences while they’re in school, and so being able to get a firm commitment from an employer, so you know where you’re going to work and you know that they’re going to cover the bulk of your loans while you’re in school helps you to really focus on the core of your education and becoming a great clinician,” said Scholars Network Founder Dr. Sam Maron.
