A 55-year-old York man has been identified as the victim of a fatal single-vehicle crash that closed part of Busser Road in Manchester Township early Monday morning. Timothy Squiccimara was pronounced dead at the scene after his car left the roadway and struck a tree around 4:30 a.m.
The York County Coroner released Squiccimara’s identity following next-of-kin notification, according to FOX43. Squiccimara was traveling westbound in the 300 block of Busser Road when his vehicle went off the road, and officials said he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the impact. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:05 a.m., more than an hour after the crash, following scene documentation by emergency crews and deputy coroners.
Early reporting from WGAL first confirmed that dispatchers had called the coroner to the scene and that the number of occupants in the vehicle was initially unclear. That outlet’s live coverage showed emergency responders blocking traffic and concentrating police activity around the intersection of Busser Road and Connelly Road as the roads in the area were shut down. Northern York County Regional Police, which is investigating the crash, reminded drivers near the scene to be alert and use caution.
An Industrializing Corridor Sees Another Deadly Crash
The stretch of Busser Road where Squiccimara died sits in an area Manchester Township has designated for industrial land use, with planning documents noting increased heavy commercial truck traffic and logistics warehouse development along the corridor.
