Duncannon council: Infrastructure issues addressed

Duncannon Borough Council was informed at its Aug. 18 meeting that a grit screw at the wastewater treatment plant has failed after roughly 30 years of service. The equipment removes heavy material from the wastewater stream.

Borough engineer Greg Rogalski said parts for the repair are expected to cost about $30,000, with installation costs still being determined.

Council received an update on the Lincoln Street improvement project. Bid documents have largely been prepared and officials are waiting on final approvals, with the goal of being ready to seek bids around the beginning of September…
