Harvey Taylor Bridge sidewalk closing, traffic shift planned for inspection

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The Harvey Taylor Bridge sidewalk will be closed due to an inspection of the bridge.

PennDOT says the inspection will be performed on September 9, weather permitting.

The southern (downstream) sidewalk adjacent to the eastbound lanes will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The northern (upstream) sidewalk adjacent to the westbound lanes will remain open.

Pedestrians attempting to cross the bridge will be directed to cross using the designated pedestrian at-grade crossing on the Dauphin County end and the pedestrian underpass on the Cumberland County end…
