Poor dog! Dover Township firefighters rescue pup trapped underneath tractor

Dover Township firefighters helped to rescue a dog that ran underneath a subcompact tractor while it was in operation and became entangled, Fire Chief Nathan Baker said.

It took responders about 10 minutes to rescue the pup on Tuesday afternoon, Baker said in a message.

The dog’s tail was entangled in the drive shaft, and firefighters used rescue tools to cut the drive shaft and free the pooch, according to the department’s Facebook post.

“The pup unfortunately had to make a trip to the vet for evaluation but expected to make a full recovery!” the post states.
