NORTH LEBANON TOWNSHIP – The Northern Lebanon Township Police Department is sharing the findings of a recent investigation have led to the arrest of two scam artists. Police released the details in a Facebook post, saying they received reports of a possible scam on Monday, January 22nd. A couple in their 70’s told police a pop-up email from Microsoft warned them about their bank account being compromised. The phishing email instructed the couple to send funds through Bitcoin in order to protect the rest of their savings.
