COLUMBIA, P.a. (WHTM) — Saturday night was a special one at Columbia High School.
Not only was it the Battle of the Bridge, a classic rivalry game between Columbia and Eastern York, but the Crimson Tide honored legendary quarterback Rob Footman by retiring his jersey between varsity games.
Footman, now a quarterback at Millersville University, was emotional delivering his speech thanking the school, his coaches, and his family for getting him to such a special moment. It was a great night all around for Columbia, as the girls beat Eastern York 68-32 and the boys squeaked out a 52-44 win.
