( WPHL ) — A Pennsylvania man is now facing charges after allegedly beheading his father in the family’s Philadelphia-area home and posting a gruesome video on social media that shows him holding up the severed head, according to police.
Justin Mohn, 32, has been charged with murder and abuse of a corpse, among other charges.
Middletown Township Police Captain Pete Feeney held a press conference early Wednesday morning to provide details about the case. (The press conference can be viewed in the video player below.)
Officers were called to the home in Middletown Township at around 7 p.m. EST on Tuesday after the victim’s wife called 911 to report she had found her husband’s bloody and decapitated body inside a bathroom, Feeney said.
When officers arrived, they located the victim, identified as Michael Mohn, and pronounced him dead. They also found his head inside a plastic bag in a kitchen pot placed in a first-floor bedroom, according to a police affidavit. Officers said they found bloody rubber gloves in a bedroom on the second floor.
