Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission holding rate increase hearings

HARRISBURG, Pa.(WHTM) – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission is holding hearings on rate increases in Harrisburg on Tuesday. This comes after the Pennsylvania American Water Company requested to increase rates for water by 20 to 63%. Wastewater services would increase between 4% and 121%. Previous hearings were held in Allegheny and Berks counties last month.
