Local business brings back “Sweetheart Stroll” to Downtown Carlisle

CARISLE, Pa. (WHTM) – Georgie Lou’s Retro Candy in Cumberland County is bringing back it’s “Sweetheart Stroll” for the first time since 2018.

On Saturday, February 10, from 12:00-4:00 PM, 29 participating businesses will be offering tastings, experiences, and deals for sweetheart strollers.

A “Map of Hearts”, which details participating businesses and their offerings for the day, plus wristbands to participate can be picked up at Georgie Lou’s Retro Candy, 56 W High Street, starting at 11:30 AM the day of said Owner Stephanie Patterson Gilbert.

“Bring your receipt from your ticket purchase, that’s your ticket,” said Gilbert. It is $5 per couple.

She said she decided to bring the event back to keep foot traffic alive in Carlisle following the weekend of Ice Fest.

“The way this event is put together is it actually forces you to walk around and look. Something I found out after being in business for 14 years is people tend to see what they always have seen, they don’t know the new businesses that have gone in,” said Gilbert.
